What you’ll be doing
You’ll manage a high-quality mixed caseload across commercial and residential property, while developing relationships and supporting junior colleagues. Typical matters include:
- Commercial acquisitions/disposals (freehold & leasehold)
- Commercial leases (landlord & tenant)
- Property finance and refinancing
- Development and option agreements
- Portfolio management
- High-value residential conveyancing
- Leasehold enfranchisement and lease extensions
- New build/off-plan purchases
- Buy-to-let portfolios
- Residential landlord & tenant matters
- Mentoring/supervising junior team members
What we’re looking for
- Solicitor qualified in England & Wales
- 5–8 years’ PQE in commercial and residential property
- CQS accredited (or genuinely willing to obtain)
- Confident running a mixed caseload with minimal supervision
- Strong technical ability and excellent client care
- Commercial mindset and interest in business development
- Experience mentoring/supervising is highly beneficial
Nice to have:
- Property development experience
- HNW and/or commercial client exposure
- Secured lending/property finance knowledge
- A client following or strong BD track record
