If you’re a paralegal who enjoys detailed, client-focused work and you’re motivated by making a real difference to vulnerable people, this is a great opportunity to join a busy Court of Protection team in Sale. Our client is looking for an enthusiastic paralegal to support senior fee earners and contribute to the smooth running of a growing Court of Protection department. The work is varied, practical, and genuinely meaningful, with strong training and support around you. You’ll support the team in protecting and safeguarding vulnerable clients, with a focus on property and financial affairs. You’ll provide cost-effective administrative and paralegal support, and you’ll also take on supervised fee-earning tasks (without being a designated matter handler).

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Providing paralegal support to the Court of Protection team
  • Supporting senior fee earners with day-to-day case progression and administration
  • Preparing detailed and accurate file notes and maintaining well-organised files
  • Liaising with estate agents and other professionals
  • Supporting with unoccupied property inspections
  • Attending property clearances and coordinating practical steps such as lock changes
  • General administrative support to help the team deliver an excellent client service

What We’re Looking For

  • Paralegal with previous experience carrying a caseload, or equivalent legal experience
  • Strong interest in mental capacity law and working with vulnerable clients
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • High level of empathy, professionalism and discretion
  • Strong time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Confident using Microsoft Office and legal case management systems

Desirable

  • Previous experience in Court of Protection or Private Client work
  • Experience working with vulnerable individuals, or within a care setting
