The Role
As a Residential & Commercial Property Lawyer, you will undertake a varied caseload whilst contributing to the firm's compliance and quality objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of residential and commercial property matters from instruction through to completion
- Handle:
- Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
- Remortgages
- Transfers of equity
- Commercial acquisitions and disposals
- Development and property finance matters
- Act as a key contact for property-related compliance and risk management matters
- Support the firm's Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) obligations and reporting requirements
- Conduct file audits and quality reviews
- Ensure adherence to lender panel requirements and conveyancing protocols
- Mentor and support junior members of the team
- Assist with process improvement initiatives and departmental development
- Contribute towards the firm's strategic growth plans
About You
To be considered for this opportunity, you should possess:
Essential Requirements
- Qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive (FCILEx) or Licensed Conveyancer
- Minimum 5 years' PQE (or equivalent post-qualification experience)
- Strong experience within UK residential conveyancing
- Exposure to commercial property transactions
- Ability to independently manage a busy and varied caseload
- Strong knowledge of:
- Land Registry procedures
- SDLT requirements
- Lender panel requirements
- AML and compliance obligations
- Risk management and file handling procedures
- Excellent client relationship and communication skills
Desirable Experience
