What You’ll Be Doing

• You will take a lead role in growing the Private Client offering in Newcastle-upon-Tyne, with the autonomy and trust to make decisions and drive outcomes.
• Advising individuals, families and business owners on a broad range of private client matters.
• Handling complex wills, trusts and estate planning work, including succession and long-term planning.
• Advising on probate and estate administration matters, including higher value and more complex estates.
• Supporting colleagues across the wider firm with private wealth and succession considerations.
• Building and strengthening client relationships, with meaningful influence over service delivery.
• Playing an active role in shaping team direction, business development activity and the wider growth strategy.
• Mentoring and developing colleagues, helping to build a high-performing, quality-led culture.

What We’re Looking For

• We’re looking for a Partner who combines strong technical ability with commercial instinct and a people-first approach.
• Partner level experience in Private Client (or a Senior Associate or Legal Director ready for partnership).
• A modest client following, or a clear and credible plan to build one quickly.
• Strong experience advising clients directly, with the confidence to lead relationships and deliver a high-touch service.
• A practical, solutions-led style, with a focus on clarity, efficiency and high quality outcomes.
• The ability to work independently, while enjoying a collaborative, supportive environment.

What’s On Offer

• Salary: £95,000 to £140,000 (depending on experience).
