NQ Family Solicitor

Location: Northwich (hybrid)

Salary: £45,000 to £55,000

Experience: Newly Qualified - 3 yrs PQE

Our client is looking to welcome a Newly Qualified Family Solicitor into their team in a hybrid role based from their Northwich office. This role is ideal if you want hands-on support, a clear development pathway, and the chance to work on a varied private family caseload without being thrown in at the deep end.

The Opportunity

You will join a well-supported department with approachable Heads of Department who are hands-on and genuinely invested in developing people. You will gain exposure to a broad mix of private family matters, including:

  • Divorce and finances
  • Private children work
  • Cohabitation agreements
  • TOLATA matters
  • Injunctions
  • Pre- and post-nuptial agreements

What you’ll be doing

  • Supporting on a mixed private family caseload, gradually taking ownership of matters as your confidence grows
  • Drafting documents, preparing bundles and progressing matters under supervision
  • Attending client meetings and calls, taking clear notes and helping to keep clients updated
  • Delivering a high standard of client care, communication and responsiveness
  • Working closely with colleagues, including trainees and paralegals, to keep matters moving
  • Using internal systems and processes to ensure matters are progressed accurately and compliantly

  • A Newly Qualified Solicitor up to 3 yrs PQE with a genuine interest in private family law
  • Strong communication skills and a warm, approachable manner with clients
  • A proactive, organised approach and strong attention to detail
