This is a great opportunity to join our client’s growing conveyancing team in Northwich. The role offers hands-on exposure to residential property transactions, direct client contact, and the chance to build your skills in a fast-paced, supportive environment.
The Opportunity
You will support lawyers on residential conveyancing matters and help clients through the home-moving process. This role would suit either a law graduate looking for practical experience, or an experienced Conveyancing Assistant ready to take the next step.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Client Care and Communication
- Communicating with clients and potential clients in a positive, professional and friendly manner
- Handling inbound calls, assisting callers and directing queries to the appropriate team member
- Ensuring client queries are handled efficiently and information provided is accurate and timely
- Coordinating a high volume of calls during peak periods and prioritising effectively
- Taking accurate messages and passing them to the appropriate colleague promptly
- Passing messages to clients and third parties where appropriate
- Providing accurate information to clients and third parties
- Respecting sensitive and confidential information at all times
- Providing general administrative support to colleagues as needed
- Preparing correspondence and documents where appropriate
- Updating the case management system promptly and accurately
- Keeping client files organised, secure and stored correctly (paper and electronic)
- Supporting good file security practices, including ensuring files are not left in public view
- Building strong working relationships with colleagues
- Providing cover for colleagues where appropriate
- Ensuring proper handover of work during periods of leave or absence
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Law graduate, or at least 2 years’ experience as a Conveyancing Assistant
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Confident IT skills
- Proactive approach and willingness to learn
- Strong client care skills and a professional manner
- Ability to work calmly under pressure in a busy environment
