Senior Associate Corporate Commercial Solicitor
Location: Northampton
Salary: £75,000 to £95,000 plus bonus and benefits
Experience: 5+ years’ PQE (Corporate/Commercial)
If you’re a Corporate Commercial Solicitor who enjoys leading transactions, building trusted client relationships, and playing a visible role in growing a practice, this is a strong Senior Associate opportunity in Northampton.
Our client is looking to appoint an experienced solicitor into their Corporate Commercial team. You’ll work closely with two Partners, supported by trainees and paralegals, and collaborate across the wider firm to deliver high-quality advice on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters.
This role will suit someone with entrepreneurial instincts who wants a genuine platform to develop their profile, contribute to strategy, and progress long-term.
You’ll advise on a varied mix of corporate and commercial work, including transactional matters, corporate restructuring, employee share schemes, and commercial contracts. You’ll be trusted to take ownership of matters and lead on delivery, while also playing a key role in developing client relationships and supporting business development.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading and managing a broad range of corporate and commercial transactions, including:
- Mergers and acquisitions
- Demergers
- Joint ventures
- Commercial agreements and associated advisory work
- Corporate restructuring
- Employee share schemes
- Taking primary responsibility for client matters, ensuring efficient delivery and high-quality outcomes
- Providing strategic, commercially focused advice aligned to client objectives
- Building and maintaining long-term client relationships as a trusted advisor
- Supporting and developing junior team members, including guidance, supervision and training
- Contributing to business development, including networking, building referrer relationships and supporting marketing activity
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified Solicitor (England and Wales)
- Ideally 5+ years’ PQE with strong corporate and commercial experience
- Confidence leading transactions and managing matters end-to-end
- Strong commercial awareness and the ability to provide pragmatic, business-focused advice
- A confident communication style and strong relationship-building skills
- A collaborative approach, with interest in supporting and developing junior colleagues
- A proactive mindset and genuine interest in business development and growing a practice
