A senior, high-impact role working closely with the COLP and leadership team, advising on professional negligence matters, complex complaints, and wider legal risk, governance and client care. This is a key internal role with real influence across the firm. You will investigate issues, assess liability and exposure, liaise with insurers and external counsel, and help shape how the firm prevents problems and improves the client experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Advising on professional negligence risks and claims
  • Managing complex complaints from investigation through to resolution
  • Investigating claims, assessing liability and exposure, and recommending next steps
  • Liaising with insurers and supporting claims strategy
  • Working with external counsel where appropriate
  • Providing clear, practical guidance to senior stakeholders
  • Contributing to improvements in risk, compliance, governance and client care
  • Supporting a consistent, client-focused approach to complaint handling and service recovery

What We’re Looking For

  • Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales
  • 2+ years’ PQE with a strong professional negligence and/or litigation background
  • Commercial mindset with sound judgement and strong attention to detail
  • Confident working with senior stakeholders and handling sensitive matters with discretion
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to advise in plain English
  • Organised and able to manage competing priorities
