Our client is looking to recruit an Employment Law Solicitor to join their Northampton office. They are open to candidates from NQ upwards, so this is a great opportunity if you are looking for a role that will grow with you. You will be trusted to run matters independently (with support where needed), develop your confidence quickly, and build strong client relationships. This is a team where your voice will be heard, with genuine scope for a challenging but supported career.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will handle a varied caseload of contentious and non-contentious employment work, acting for employer clients and also supporting employee matters. Work will include:
- Settlement agreements
- Advisory work on restructures, changes to terms and conditions, and redundancy programmes
- Strategic advice in connection with senior leadership and board-level disputes
- Day-to-day operational HR advice
- Support on data protection and employment-related compliance
- Modern Slavery Act compliance support
- Employment Tribunal representation
- Corporate support on employment aspects of M&A activity
You’ll also have the opportunity to work alongside colleagues in wider commercial teams on cross-practice projects.
What We’re Looking For
- Qualified solicitor, NQ upwards
- Comfortable managing your own caseload from instruction to completion (with appropriate support for level)
- Strong client care skills and a professional, practical approach
- Good drafting skills and attention to detail
- Willingness to get involved in business development and relationship building (desirable)
