Senior Associate / Junior Partner Corporate Commercial Solicitor

Location: Northampton

Salary: £75,000 to £100,000 plus bonus and benefits

Experience: 5+ years’ PQE (guide only)

This is a standout opportunity for an experienced corporate and commercial solicitor with entrepreneurial instincts who wants to lead transactions, build client relationships and play a visible role in growing a team.

Our client is looking to recruit a Senior Associate / Junior Partner level Corporate Commercial Solicitor into their Northampton office. You will join an established team (including two Partners), supported by trainees and paralegals, and you will collaborate closely with colleagues across the wider firm. The team advises on a broad range of corporate transactions and commercial advisory work, and this hire will contribute to the strategic growth of the division.

You will take the lead on matters, act as a trusted adviser to clients and help drive business development through networking, relationship building and marketing activity (with support from an award-winning marketing team). This role would suit someone who enjoys combining hands-on fee earning with leadership, profile building and long-term growth.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Leading and managing a broad range of corporate and commercial transactions

• Advising on mergers and acquisitions, demergers and reorganisations

• Drafting and negotiating commercial agreements and joint ventures

• Taking primary responsibility for client matters, ensuring efficient delivery and high-quality outcomes

• Providing strategic, commercially focused advice aligned to client objectives

• Building and maintaining long-term client relationships and acting as a trusted adviser

• Supporting junior team members through supervision, guidance and contribution to training objectives

• Driving business development through networking, industry events, referrer relationships and marketing activity (including writing for online and print media)

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Solicitor (England and Wales)

• Ideally 5+ years’ PQE (guide only) with strong corporate and commercial experience

• Confident leading transactions and managing client relationships

• Commercially minded, proactive and comfortable taking ownership

• Strong drafting, negotiation and communication skills

• Enjoys mentoring and supporting junior colleagues

• Strong interest in business development and growing a practice
