Corporate Commercial Solicitor / Associate

Location: Northampton

Salary: £50,000 to £70,000 plus bonus and benefits

Experience: 2 to 5+ years’ PQE (guide only)

This is a strong opportunity for a corporate and commercial solicitor who wants variety, support from experienced Partners, and the chance to build a long-term career in a growing team.

Our client is looking to recruit a Corporate Commercial Solicitor / Associate into their Northampton office. You will join an established team (including two Partners), with support from trainees and paralegals, and genuine opportunities to collaborate across the wider firm. With appropriate supervision and guidance, you will build experience across a broad mix of corporate transactions and commercial advisory work, while also developing your business development skills with support from an award-winning marketing team.

You will work on a varied caseload including transactional matters, corporate restructuring, employee share schemes and commercial contracts. The team is focused on excellent client service and long-term relationships, and this role would suit someone who is keen to learn, take on increasing responsibility and progress.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Managing corporate and commercial matters from instruction through to completion

• Advising on share and business sales, acquisitions and joint ventures

• Drafting and negotiating shareholder agreements and commercial agreements

• Supporting on wider and larger transactions, including due diligence and disclosure

• Assisting on corporate restructuring work, including demergers

• Supporting clients with succession planning and growth strategies

• Taking ownership of client matters, delivering high-quality outcomes and clear, practical advice

• Building trusted client relationships and acting as a commercially focused adviser

• Contributing to business development, including networking, building referrer relationships and supporting marketing initiatives

What We’re Looking For

• Qualified Solicitor (England and Wales)

• Ideally 2 to 5+ years’ PQE (guide only) with a solid grounding in corporate and commercial work

• Confident communicator with strong drafting skills and attention to detail

• Commercially minded, with a client-first approach

• Keen to learn, take feedback well and grow into increased responsibility

• A collaborative team player with ambition and personal drive

• Interest in business development and profile building over time
