The Role: What You’ll Be Doing

As part of a dynamic accounts team, you will take ownership of a varied workload, supporting clients across multiple sectors.

  • Preparation of statutory accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies
  • Assisting with (or leading, depending on level) audit assignments
  • Preparation of management accounts and financial reports
  • Handling corporation tax computations and returns
  • Liaising directly with clients and responding to queries
  • Supporting junior team members (for Senior-level candidates)
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and regulations

What We’re Looking For

We are keen to speak with candidates who meet the following criteria:

  • 2–3+ years’ UK accountancy practice experience (essential)
  • Currently studying towards, or part-qualified in, ACA or ACCA
  • Experience preparing accounts for owner-managed businesses
  • Audit exposure desirable but not essential
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting software (e.g. Xero, Sage, QuickBooks)
  • Good understanding of UK financial reporting standards
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
