An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join our client’s well-established and highly regarded Private Client team in the Milton Keynes area. This role offers the chance to work on a high-quality and diverse caseload, including HNW matters, within a supportive and progressive environment. You will play a key role in delivering tailored, client-focused advice, while benefiting from genuine career progression opportunities and a strong team culture.
The Role – Varied & Client-Focused Private Client Work
- Manage a broad caseload of Private Client matters, including:
- Drafting and advising on Wills and Codicils
- Preparing and registering Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs)
- Handling Probate applications and full estate administration
- Advising on and administering Trusts, including lifetime and post-death arrangements
- Providing Inheritance Tax (IHT), Capital Gains Tax (CGT) and estate planning advice
- Assisting elderly and vulnerable clients with sensitivity and professionalism
- Maintaining high standards of client care and compliance
- Supporting business development activities and maintaining referrer relationships
About You – Skills, Experience & Qualifications
- Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEX) with circa 5+ years’ PQE
- Strong UK private practice experience in Private Client law
- Proven expertise across Wills, Probate, LPAs, Trusts and Estate Administration
- Sound technical knowledge of IHT, CGT and estate planning
- Experience advising high-net-worth (HNW) clients
- STEP qualification (desirable, not essential)
- Ability to manage a full caseload independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach
