If you’re a senior Private Client lawyer who enjoys leading a team, building relationships and shaping a service offering, this is a rare chance to step into a key role in a busy Manchester office with strong support and autonomy to run your team. Our client is looking to appoint a salaried Partner to lead and grow their Private Client offering in Manchester. The current head of Private Client is moving to a self-employed role and will continue working with the firm, creating a planned transition and the option for overlap where helpful. This is a leadership hire. You will be expected to bring some of your own work, but there is also existing work to support you as you build momentum. Manchester is currently the base for the Private Client operation, with the scope to support clients across the wider office network where appropriate.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Leading the Private Client offering in Manchester, with responsibility for service delivery and growth
- Managing a varied private client caseload, with a focus on high standards of client care
- Developing and maintaining a following, while also supporting and expanding existing firm relationships
- Supervising and mentoring junior team members, including a trainee and an assistant
- Working closely with senior stakeholders to support the wider business plan and ongoing development
- Contributing to business development activity and strengthening the firm’s profile in the Manchester market
