Litigation Solicitor (3 to 6 years PQE)
Location: Manchester
Salary: £60,000 to £80,000 plus bonus and benefits
Experience: 3 to 6 years’ PQE
A strong opportunity for a commercial litigation solicitor who wants more responsibility, better quality work and a clear platform to build their profile.
This role sits within an ambitious, collaborative disputes team handling a varied caseload including contract claims, shareholder disputes and contentious insolvency. You will run your own matters with light-touch supervision, while also working alongside senior lawyers on higher-value claims.
You will play a key role within a busy commercial litigation team, taking instructions, advising clients and progressing matters through all stages of the dispute process. The role also includes business development, with support to help you build confidence and visibility in the market.
Key Responsibilities
- Taking instructions and providing clear, commercial advice
- Leading on lower-value claims (with light-touch supervision)
- Supporting senior lawyers on higher-value claims, managing all steps in the litigation process
- Preparing for and attending JSMs and mediations
- Drafting articles and content to support the team’s profile and social media presence
- Contributing to business development activity (appropriate to experience level)
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales
- 3 to 6 years’ PQE with strong commercial litigation experience
- Solid technical knowledge across commercial disputes
- Strong drafting skills and attention to detail
- Confident communicator with the ability to build and maintain client relationships
- Commercial awareness and strategic thinking
