Our client is looking to hire an Asset Finance Associate into its high-performing Asset Finance team in Manchester. With new and exciting client mandates, this is a great opportunity to support high-value, complex asset finance and leasing transactions for a diverse client base, including financial institutions and lessees or borrowers. You’ll be part of a national team of specialists, working collaboratively across offices and sectors, with strong support for development and progression.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Advising on a broad range of domestic and international asset finance matters
- Supporting on finance leasing, operating leasing and wider leasing transactions
- Advising on receivables finance, debt finance and vendor finance
- Working on buying and selling lease books and structuring issues
- Supporting complex transactions and coordinating with colleagues across relevant practice areas
- Working across a wide range of asset types, which may include rolling stock, aviation, marine vessels, commercial vehicles, energy and industrial plant, telecommunications and medical equipment, and IT hardware
- Building strong client relationships and contributing to excellent client service on high-profile deals
- Getting involved in business development, including networking and supporting client training initiatives
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Qualified solicitor in England and Wales
- 3+ years’ PQE with experience in asset finance
- Confidence advising both lender and borrower-side clients
- Strong commercial judgement and the ability to provide pragmatic, tailored advice
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
- Ability to support complex transactions and manage multiple workstreams effectively
Desirable
- Experience across a broad mix of asset classes and finance products
- Interest in transport and energy sector work
