The Role – Senior Associate, Private Client

In this senior role, you will manage a broad and high-quality caseload, including:

  • Wills, trusts, and estate planning for high-net-worth individuals
  • Probate and estate administration, including complex estates
  • Advising on Inheritance Tax (IHT) planning and wealth structuring
  • Creation and management of lifetime and discretionary trusts
  • Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs) and Court of Protection work
  • Providing tailored advice on asset protection and succession planning

You will also:

  • Build and maintain long-term client relationships
  • Supervise and mentor junior lawyers and support staff
  • Contribute to business development and networking activities
  • Play a key role in the strategic development of the team

What We’re Looking For

To be considered for this opportunity, you should demonstrate:

  • Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales)
  • 5–10 years’ PQE in Private Client work within a UK law firm
  • Strong experience advising high-net-worth individuals and families
  • Excellent technical knowledge of IHT, trusts, and estate planning
  • Proven ability to manage complex matters independently
  • Strong drafting, analytical, and client-facing skills
  • STEP qualification (full or part-qualified) highly desirable
  • Experience supervising junior staff and contributing to team development
  • A commercially minded approach with an interest in business development
