An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Housing Solicitor (1+ PQE) to join our client’s highly regarded and expanding Housing & Social Care team in London. The Role – Diverse, Challenging and Rewarding

As a Housing Solicitor, you will manage your own caseload from the outset, handling a varied mix of legally aided matters. Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing a busy caseload of housing law matters, including homelessness, disrepair, possession and eviction cases
  • Advising clients on housing rights, policy issues and legal aid eligibility
  • Conducting advocacy where appropriate
  • Supporting complex and strategic litigation matters
  • Collaborating with colleagues in a high-performing, open-plan team environment

Exposure to community care and public law matters will be available for those interested in broadening their expertise.

About You – Skills & Experience Required

To be successful, you will demonstrate:

  • Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 1+ years’ PQE
  • Proven UK practice experience in housing law (essential)
  • Strong understanding of legal aid processes and funding
  • Knowledge of current housing legislation, policy and case law
  • Excellent client care skills, particularly when working with vulnerable individuals
  • Ability to manage a caseload independently and efficiently

Desirable (not essential): experience in community care and/or public law
