About the Role
As a Family Solicitor, you'll manage a diverse caseload of family law matters, guiding clients through some of the most significant moments of their lives with empathy, professionalism, and legal expertise. You'll have the autonomy to run your own files whilst working collaboratively with a senior solicitor and a supportive team.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Managing your own caseload of family law matters from instruction through to conclusion
- Handling financial remedy proceedings including complex high-net-worth cases
- Advising on private children matters including arrangements and disputes
- Conducting divorce proceedings and ancillary relief applications
- Providing clear strategic advice to clients during emotionally sensitive situations
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships based on trust and discretion
- Contributing to business development initiatives and departmental growth
- Collaborating with senior solicitors on complex or high-value matters
What We're Looking For
Essential Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years PQE in Family Law (UK qualified solicitor)
- Strong technical expertise in financial remedy and private children matters
- Proven experience managing high-net-worth (HNW) cases and emotionally complex situations
- Excellent client care skills with a compassionate, discreet approach
- Ability to work independently whilst contributing to a collaborative team environment
- Commercial mindset with strong business development awareness
- Outstanding communication and negotiation skills
Desirable:
- Experience with alternative dispute resolution methods (mediation, collaborative law)
- Established client following or demonstrable business development experience
- Accreditation with Resolution or working towards specialist family law qualifications
