Are you an ambitious Family Senior Associate or Managing Associate seeking high-value, complex family law matters for a stellar client base—including HNW individuals, entrepreneurs, finance executives, and public figures across media and entertainment? Our client is a prestigious, top-tier London law firm renowned for its vibrant, collegiate culture and stellar reputation in private capital and family law. They are seeking an accomplished Family Senior/Managing Associate to play a key role within their highly ranked practice.
The Opportunity
In this high-profile role, you will take ownership of a varied, sophisticated caseload with high autonomy, advising clients on complex financial claims upon divorce, high-net-worth nuptial agreements, financial provision for children, and cross-border private law children matters. Working alongside market-leading partners, you will build trusted client relationships, lead negotiations, and mentor junior associates. Positioned within a firm that actively invests in senior talent, this post offers transparent career development pathways toward Legal Director and Partnership.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements
-
Qualifications & Experience: Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with 6–8+ years’ PQE in family law, gained within a respected national, City, or top-tier family boutique practice. Resolution accreditation or trained mediator/collaborative lawyer status is highly desirable.
-
Complex Financial Claims: Extensive experience handling high-net-worth divorce, complex financial remedy proceedings (involving trusts, corporate structures, offshore assets, and business valuations), and multi-jurisdictional nuptial agreements.
-
Private Law Children Matters: Proven track record in complex private law children disputes, including international relocation, leave to remove, and financial provision under Schedule 1.
-
Autonomy & Advocacy: Demonstrated ability to manage complex, sensitive cases independently from instruction to resolution, with strong negotiation, drafting, and client representation skills.
-
Leadership & BD: Proactive commitment to business development, networking across HNW referral channels, and mentoring junior team members.
Package & Benefits
-
Base Salary & Bonus: £110,000 – £135,000+ per annum (dependent on PQE and experience level, aligned with London market rates) plus a performance-related bonus scheme.
-
Career Development: Transparent promotion criteria to Legal Director and Partner, backed by structured leadership training programmes and fully funded CPD.
-
Work-Life Balance: Supported hybrid working model in modern London office premises, promoting flexibility within a collaborative, non-hierarchical culture.
-
Health & Perks: Comprehensive private medical insurance, generous pension contribution, life assurance, income protection, and extensive wellness perks.
