The Opportunity
This role offers an exceptional platform for an associate who wants to step out from the shadows, take direct ownership of transactions, and start building a name for themselves in the local and regional commercial property market. Working alongside seasoned partners, you will manage a varied caseload for property developers, investors, corporate occupiers, and regional businesses. With direct client contact from day one and structured BD support, this position offers the ideal environment to hone your commercial skills and progress toward Senior Associate level.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements
- Qualifications & Experience: Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with 2–4 years PQE in UK commercial property practice.
- Technical Expertise: Proven handling of freehold and leasehold acquisitions/disposals, landlord and tenant matters (lease drafting, renewals, assignments, 1954 Act notices), property finance, and corporate support transactions.
- Commercial & BD Drive: Demonstrable drive to participate in networking events, cultivate relationships with local agents and lenders, and proactively build a personal referrer network.
- Client Service: Excellent negotiation, drafting, and communication skills, with a pragmatic, solution-focused approach to transaction management.
Package & Benefits
- Base Salary & Bonus: £55,000 – £68,000 dependent on experience and track record (aligned with South West London / Surrey market rates), plus a performance-related bonus scheme.
