Our client is seeking a talented litigation professional to join their established Litigation Department. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a diverse range of contentious matters, gain greater responsibility, and become a valued member of a supportive team that prides itself on delivering exceptional client service and practical legal solutions.
As part of a well-regarded Litigation Department, you will manage your own caseload and advise clients across a broad spectrum of disputes. The role offers genuine autonomy, client interaction, and the opportunity to further develop your expertise across multiple litigation disciplines.
Key Responsibilities- Managing a varied caseload from initial instruction through to resolution
- Advising clients on a wide range of litigation and dispute resolution matters
- Drafting legal documentation, pleadings, court applications and correspondence
- Representing clients during negotiations, mediation and court proceedings where appropriate
- Conducting legal research and providing practical, commercial advice
- Maintaining accurate case management records and ensuring regulatory compliance
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Working collaboratively with colleagues to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients
We are keen to speak with candidates who possess the following:
Essential Requirements- Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEx) in England & Wales
- Minimum 3 years' PQE within a UK legal practice
- Proven experience handling civil litigation matters independently
- Strong understanding of the Civil Procedure Rules (CPR) and litigation processes
- Experience managing files from instruction through to settlement or trial
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong negotiation and advocacy abilities
- Ability to work independently whilst contributing effectively within a team
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Commercially aware and client-focused approach
Experience in one or more of the following areas would be advantageous:
- Commercial litigation
- Property disputes
- Debt recovery
- Employment-related disputes
- Alternative dispute resolution (ADR)
- Mediation and settlement negotiations
