Our client, a multi-award-winning boutique law firm, is seeking experienced Commercial lawyers to join their growing team on a fee-sharing basis. The Role

As a Senior Associate or Partner, you will play a pivotal role in the Commercial Law team, bringing and building a substantial client following. This role offers the unique opportunity to work with a firm that values flexibility and work-life balance whilst providing expert legal advice across various areas of Commercial Law. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Client Management and Development:
    • Managing and growing your portfolio of commercial clients
    • Bringing an established client following
    • Generating new business and maintaining strong client relationships
    • Building your practice with full autonomy and flexibility
  • Legal Advisory:
    • Providing expert legal advice across various areas of Commercial Law including Commercial Contracts, Terms and Conditions, Supply Agreements, Distribution Agreements, Agency Agreements, Technology and IT Contracts, Data Protection and GDPR, and Commercial Dispute Resolution
    • Handling complex commercial matters with full case ownership
    • Delivering high-quality legal service aligned with the firm's reputation for excellence
  • Business Development:
    • Contributing to the firm's growth and success through strategic business development
    • Maintaining and expanding your client base with full back-office support
    • Leveraging the firm's reputation and resources to develop your practice

About You

Essential Requirements:

  • Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with current practising certificate at Senior Associate or Partner level
  • Proven experience generating and managing a substantial client portfolio of c.£200,000+ per annum in Commercial Law
  • Established client following with demonstrable track record of business generation and client retention
  • Strong commercial acumen and leadership skills with ability to work autonomously
  • Expertise across various areas of Commercial Law including Commercial Contracts, Technology Agreements, Data Protection, and Commercial Dispute Resolution
  • Excellent client relationship management skills with commitment to exceptional service delivery
  • Self-motivated and entrepreneurial approach with ability to thrive in a flexible, remote working environment
  • Strong organisational and communication skills with ability to manage own practice effectively

Desirable:

  • Experience working in a boutique or specialist Commercial practice
  • Proven track record of business development and practice growth
  • Experience advising SMEs, tech companies, or high-growth businesses
  • Specialist expertise in niche areas of Commercial Law such as Technology, Outsourcing, or E-commerce
  • Experience with international commercial transactions
