NQ Property Litigation Solicitor

Location: Kendal

Salary: £40,000 to £52,000 plus bonus and benefits

Experience: Newly Qualified - 3 years

If you’re newly qualified and want to build a career in property litigation with a team that will properly invest in your development, this is a great opportunity. You’ll join a specialist Land and Property Dispute Resolution team doing varied, high-quality contentious work, with the support and structure you need to grow your confidence quickly.

This role sits within a recognised Land and Property Dispute Resolution team acting for businesses and individuals across England on the full spectrum of contentious property matters. The team is growing and looking for an ambitious NQ Solicitor with some commercial property litigation exposure who wants to develop as a property litigation specialist.

You’ll manage your own matters under appropriate supervision, support senior fee earners, and get involved in business development in a way that’s encouraged and supported.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing matters under appropriate supervision and delivering an excellent client experience
  • Drafting correspondence and court documents
  • Liaising with the Court, instructing counsel and experts
  • Attending hearings and all-party meetings
  • Building and maintaining strong client relationships
  • Supporting other team members and supervising junior colleagues where appropriate
  • Developing your technical and commercial expertise in property litigation
  • Working collaboratively within the team and across the wider firm
  • Promoting the firm’s values internally and externally

What You’ll Be Working On

  • Landlord and tenant disputes, including lease renewals, dilapidations, break clauses, and forfeiture
  • Real property disputes, including restrictive covenants, easements, rights of light, trespass, and possession
  • Property contract claims
  • Negligence disputes involving property professionals

What We’re Looking For

  • Newly Qualified Solicitor
  • Some commercial property litigation experience (or a strong contentious property seat during training)
  • Exposure across a range of property litigation matters, including real property, landlord and tenant, and contractual disputes
  • Confidence managing a caseload with appropriate supervision
  • Strong attention to detail and high standards of accuracy
  • Strong organisation, planning, and deadline management
  • Clear communication skills and confident client handling
  • Confident IT user
  • Willingness to get involved in business development and contribute to team growth
