The Opportunity
In this dynamic office-based role, you will work alongside experienced senior accountants and partners, taking ownership of year-end account preparation and management accounts for a diverse portfolio of SMEs, sole traders, and limited companies. Benefiting from a collaborative team culture and direct mentorship, you will handle end-to-end accounting processes using modern cloud technology.
Key Responsibilities & Requirements
- Experience & Qualifications: Minimum 2+ years UK accountancy practice experience (essential). Actively studying towards or completed AAT, or early-stage ACCA/ACA is desirable.
- Technical Accounting: Proven track record in preparing statutory accounts, sole trader and partnership accounts, management accounts, and VAT returns.
- Software Proficiency: Strong hands-on experience with cloud accounting platforms such as Xero, QuickBooks, or Sage, alongside proficiency in MS Excel.
- Client Engagement: Confident communication skills with a client-focused approach to handling day-to-day queries and assisting clients with bookkeeping setup and software queries.
