We’re working with a well-established accountancy practice looking to hire an Audit Senior to support a growing audit portfolio across a range of sectors. This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys leading audits on site, working closely with clients, and supporting junior team members to deliver high quality work.
The Role
- Lead audit assignments from planning through to completion, ensuring work is delivered to a high standard and on time
- Prepare audit plans, assess risks, and develop audit programmes tailored to each client
- Manage on-site audit fieldwork and act as the main point of contact for clients during the assignment
- Review work completed by junior team members, providing clear guidance and constructive feedback
- Ensure audits comply with regulatory and professional standards
- Draft clear audit findings and reports for review by Managers/Directors
- Support the ongoing improvement of audit processes and quality across the team
What We’re Looking For
- ACA / ACCA qualified (or finalist) with a strong background in UK practice
- Strong technical knowledge of UK accounting and auditing standards
- Previous experience leading audits and managing deadlines across multiple engagements
- Confident, professional communication style with strong client-facing skills
- Organised, self-motivated, and committed to quality
- Comfortable travelling for audit visits across the local office network
Skills and Systems
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Word (PowerPoint beneficial)
- Experience using audit software (MyWorkpapers experience would be ideal)
