Manage your own caseload with genuine progression. Our client is growing its residential conveyancing team in the Essex area and is looking for an experienced fee earner who enjoys running files end-to-end, building trusted client relationships, and being part of a forward-moving practice. If you want a busy, stable pipeline of work, clear expectations, and the chance to develop your career as the team expands, this is well worth a conversation.
The opportunity
You will join a well-established conveyancing function and take ownership of a varied residential caseload, with the support and infrastructure to deliver a high-quality client experience.
Key responsibilities
- Handling matters from instruction to completion, including:
- Freehold and leasehold sales and purchases
- Re-mortgages
- Transfers of equity
Requirements (skills and experience)
- 3+ years’ PQE (or equivalent experience) in UK residential conveyancing
- Qualified as a Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer, or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEx)
- Proven ability to run a residential caseload with minimal supervision
- Strong technical understanding of:
- Freehold/leasehold transactions
- Title investigation and reporting
- Exchange/completion processes
- Lender requirements and compliance
Desirable (not essential)
- Experience with new build and/or shared ownership matters
Location and working arrangements
- Office-based role in the Essex area
- Full-time, permanent
- Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am–6:00pm
