The Opportunity

This is an exciting senior‑level role for an ambitious Private Client Solicitor with 4 years PQE ready to manage complex estate administration and succession planning matters. You’ll work within a dynamic supportive team on intellectually stimulating cases whilst receiving mentorship from experienced partners. Key Responsibilities

  • Client Management & Legal Excellence: Provide high-quality proactive legal advice to private clients on estate administration, succession planning and trusts.
  • Manage a complex caseload of estate administration matters with appropriate supervision.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships delivering exceptional service.
  • Draft wills, trusts, lasting powers of attorney and estate documentation to the highest standards.
  • Technical & Case Management: Handle complex estate administration from start to completion.
  • Advise on succession planning, inheritance tax planning and trust matters.
  • Manage files efficiently and prepare reports and documentation for clients.
  • Undertake relevant searches and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Business Development: Achieve personal fee targets and contribute to team success.
  • Support business development initiatives and help grow the Private Client department.
  • Enhance the firm’s reputation through professional and community activities.

Essential Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualified Solicitor in England and Wales with 4 years PQE in Private Client law.
  • Demonstrated success in handling complex private client cases with proven track record.
  • Law degree and LPC completion with two‑year training contract (or GDL conversion, LPC and training contract).
  • Alternatively relevant CILEX qualification with equivalent experience.

Technical Skills

  • Strong expertise in estate administration, succession planning and trusts.
  • Excellent knowledge of Inheritance Tax, Capital Gains Tax and private client legislation.
  • Proficiency with case management systems and legal technology.
  • Outstanding drafting skills for complex private client documentation.
