We’re working with a well-established accountancy practice in Chesterfield who are looking to hire an Audit Senior / Manager to support a growing audit portfolio. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys building client relationships, leading audits from planning through to completion, and supporting the development of junior team members.

The Role

  • Lead and deliver audit assignments from planning to completion, ensuring quality and deadlines are met
  • Manage on-site and remote audit work, coordinating with clients and internal stakeholders
  • Review audit files and working papers, providing clear feedback and guidance
  • Support the wider team with technical input and day-to-day problem solving
  • Build strong client relationships and contribute to a high standard of service
  • Assist with workflow planning, resourcing, and coaching of junior staff
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes and support the continued growth of the audit function

What We’re Looking For

  • Fully qualified (ACA / ACCA or equivalent) or qualified by experience with strong UK practice background
  • Proven audit experience within a UK accountancy practice (Senior or Manager level)
  • Confident leading audits and managing deadlines across multiple assignments
  • Strong communication skills and a practical, client-focused approach
  • Comfortable mentoring and developing junior team members
  • Good working knowledge of UK auditing standards and financial reporting requirements
