This is a rare opportunity for an experienced Family Solicitor to take a lead role in building and growing a private family offering in Chester, with the backing of a well-established North West team. Our client is expanding into Chester and is looking for a senior hire who combines strong technical expertise with emotional intelligence, and who genuinely cares about delivering outstanding client service during challenging times. You will be a key figure in establishing the family presence in Chester, while working closely with an already successful regional team. The role suits someone who enjoys autonomy, wants to shape a service offering, and is confident building relationships in the local market.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Managing a varied caseload of private family matters including divorce, financial remedy, children matters and cohabitation disputes
  • Helping to develop and grow the family offering in Chester, including contributing to plans and priorities for the new office
  • Building and nurturing client relationships with empathy, professionalism and discretion
  • Supporting junior colleagues and contributing to a collaborative team culture
  • Taking an active role in networking and business development to grow the department
