Lead High-Impact Employment Law Matters with a Top UK Firm
Are you an experienced employment solicitor ready to step into a senior role with a leading, ambitious law firm? Our client is seeking a Senior Associate Solicitor (5+ years' PQE) to join their Cambridge team, advising a diverse client base across financial services, tech, education, insurance, transport, and non-profits—including international businesses and senior executives. This is your opportunity to work on complex, high-value employment matters and take a visible leadership role in a firm committed to your growth.
The Role: Key Responsibilities
- Advise on wide-ranging employment law matters including:
- General employment issues (maternity rights, contractual matters)
- Drafting service agreements, employment contracts, staff handbooks, and policies
- Handling performance, sickness, and misconduct procedures; parental leave schemes
- Transactional corporate support
- Wrongful and unfair dismissal, redundancy, restructuring, TUPE
- Senior executive arrivals/exits and complex remuneration
- Employment tribunal litigation and discrimination claims
- Advising on offshore/overseas placements
Requirements & Experience
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales with 5+ years' PQE in employment law
- Proven expertise handling complex employment cases and advising senior executives
- Strong technical skills in contract drafting, policy development, and litigation
- Commercial and strategic thinking with the ability to deliver practical, business-focused advice
- Leadership and mentoring experience valued
- Excellent communication, client management, and business development skills
- Experience with international clients or cross-border matters is advantageous
