The Opportunity

As an Audit Senior, you will take the lead on audit assignments from planning through to completion, acting as a key point of contact for clients and supporting the development of junior team members. You will gain exposure to a broad range of sectors while building the leadership and commercial skills required to progress to Assistant Manager and beyond.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead audit assignments on-site and remotely, from planning to completion
  • Manage audit fieldwork, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are met
  • Maintain compliance with UK auditing and accounting standards (FRS 102, IFRS)
  • Supervise and mentor junior staff, reviewing work and providing constructive feedback
  • Prepare audit findings reports, identifying key risks and recommendations
  • Act as a primary point of contact for clients, building strong working relationships
  • Manage resources effectively, delegating tasks and monitoring progress
  • Work collaboratively across service lines to deliver a holistic client service
  • Support continuous improvement and contribute to team development initiatives

About You

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified (or equivalent)
  • 3–6 years’ UK practice experience in audit and accounts, including post-qualified experience (PQE)
  • Strong technical knowledge of UK GAAP (FRS 102) and IFRS
  • Experience in leading audits and managing client relationships
  • Proven ability to supervise and develop junior team members
  • Strong understanding of risk assessment and audit methodology
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Experience with CCH, Inflo or similar audit software (advantageous but not essential)
