Our client is looking to recruit a Dispute Resolution Solicitor / Litigator to join its Dispute Resolution team. This is a strong opportunity for a well-rounded litigator who enjoys variety and wants to be part of a firm that takes wellbeing seriously. You will manage your own caseload, work closely with colleagues across the firm, and play a genuine role in the growth and development of the dispute resolution and wider business legal offering.
The Work
- You will manage a varied caseload, which is likely to include a mix of the following:
- Contractual disputes
- Professional negligence matters
- Neighbour and boundary disputes
- Debt recovery and insolvency matters
- Contentious probate, including challenges to the validity of a Will and claims under the Inheritance (Provision for Family and Dependants) Act 1975
- Property litigation, including possession and dilapidation claims (residential and commercial)
- Employment matters, including Employment Tribunal claims, settlement agreements and non-contentious advisory work
- Employer’s Liability (EL) and Public Liability (PL) claims
- Develop strong working relationships with clients and colleagues
- Provide support and advice to colleagues on litigation matters
- Take part in the growth and development of the dispute resolution and wider business legal offering
- Support the firm’s Legal Surgery sessions in relation to litigation enquiries
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Qualified solicitor in England and Wales
- 4 to 7+ years’ PQE in dispute resolution, litigation or similar (strong candidates with slightly less experience may be considered)
- Experience managing a varied caseload with a practical, client-focused approach
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills
- Excellent organisation and the ability to manage competing deadlines
- Clear written and verbal communication
- A collaborative, personable approach with strong relationship-building skills
