Our client is looking for a Court of Protection Paralegal (Grade D) to provide fee-earning and administrative support across Deputyship and Power of Attorney matters, with the opportunity to progress towards handling elements of a supervised caseload. You’ll support fee earners with day-to-day case management, drafting, and reporting, while building your knowledge of Court of Protection work in a supportive environment. The role suits someone professional, discreet, and proactive, who takes pride in accuracy and client care.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Supporting fee earners with case management across Deputyship and Power of Attorney matters
- Drafting routine correspondence and documents
- Preparing Office of the Public Guardian (OPG) annual reports
- Maintaining and updating case files accurately
- Liaising with clients, families and third parties with a calm, professional approach
- Supporting financial administration and reporting
- Progressing routine elements of cases under supervision
- Recording time accurately and supporting billing processes
- Working in line with procedures, confidentiality requirements and best practice
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Previous legal or paralegal experience
- Strong organisational and communication skills
- Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Office and case management systems
Desirable
- Court of Protection or Private Client experience
- Experience preparing OPG reports
- Law degree or working towards qualification
