Our client is looking to hire a Commercial Property Solicitor (7+ PQE) to join a busy, award-winning team handling high-quality work. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys running complex matters, building trusted client relationships, and supporting and developing junior colleagues as part of a collaborative, people-focused culture.
You will join a growing firm with an established commercial property team and a clear focus on learning, development, and progression. The working environment is office-based to support training, collaboration, and day-to-day support. You will report to the Partner and Head of Commercial Property, working closely with them to help maintain a well-run, efficient and organised team.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing a varied caseload of commercial property matters from instruction to completion
- Handling acquisitions and disposals, and associated transactional work
- Advising on landlord and tenant matters, including:
- New leases
- Licences to assign
- Licences for alterations
- Supporting on commercial property disputes where required
- Advising on funding arrangements connected to property acquisitions
- Preparing auction contracts and progressing auction sales to tight timescales
- Identifying legal risk and advising clients on practical risk mitigation
- Working collaboratively with other teams to deliver joined-up solutions
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships through clear communication and consistent service
- Managing multiple transactions at pace, prioritising urgent matters while maintaining attention to detail
- Maintaining accurate, up-to-date file records across ongoing matters
- Sharing knowledge and supporting the development of more junior team members
What We’re Looking For
- 7+ years PQE as a qualified solicitor, with strong commercial property experience
- Strong technical and procedural knowledge, with the confidence to run matters independently
- A genuine interest in supporting junior colleagues through coaching, supervision, and knowledge sharing
- Strong drafting skills and attention to detail
- Commercial mindset and excellent client care
- Ability to manage a busy caseload and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment
