Our client is a national high street law firm with a strong footprint across multiple locations and a sizeable legal team. They are looking to appoint an experienced Family Lawyer into their Solihull office, with a clear pathway to becoming Head of Department in a short timeframe.
This is a growth-focused hire. You will take ownership of a broad private family caseload and play a key role in building the practice across the wider office network. You do not need to bring a client following, but you will need the ambition and commercial drive to help grow the department over time.
What Youll Be DoingManaging a varied private family law caseload autonomously, from instruction through to conclusionAdvising on divorce and separation mattersHandling financial remedy work and negotiationsAdvising on private children mattersDrafting and advising on cohabitation disputes and TOLATA claimsAdvising on pre-nuptial and post-nuptial agreements and separation agreementsHandling protective injunctions where requiredSupporting business development activity to help grow the family practice across multiple locationsProviding support and guidance to junior lawyers, helping develop capability and confidence within the teamWhat Were Looking ForQualified Solicitor, CILEX Lawyer or Chartered Legal Executive with strong private family law experienceConfidence running matters autonomously with high standards of client care and accuracyExperience across a broad range of private family work (divorce, finances, children, TOLATA and agreements)A proactive, ambitious mindset and interest in helping build and grow a practiceAbility to support and mentor junior lawyersClear, practical communication style and a calm approach with clientsWhats On OfferSalary: £75,000 to £85,000 plus bonus and benefitsClear progression pathway, with the opportunity to step into Head of Department quicklyThe backing of a national firm with an established presence and infrastructureHybrid working (where applicable)Support to grow the practice across multiple locationsWorking ArrangementsFull-time, permanent role Solihull-based role with hybrid working (where applicable)
