We're looking for a Veterinary Surgeon with some experience to join our friendly, supportive team. One of our long-standing vets is relocating and, as our practice continues to grow, we're also looking ahead to the future. We'd therefore be delighted to hear from vets looking for either a full or part-time role.
Hawthorn Vets is an independent, family-run small animal practice with surgeries in Henfield, Hassocks and Partridge Green. We've grown steadily by investing in modern facilities, embracing new technology and, most importantly, supporting our team. Our team is at the heart of everything we do. Many of our colleagues have been with Hawthorn for 10, 15 and even over 20 years, something we're incredibly proud of. We work hard to create a supportive environment where people enjoy coming to work, can discuss cases openly and are encouraged to develop their own interests.
About the role
You'll enjoy a good balance of consulting and surgery, with protected operating time, dedicated admin time and the opportunity to work up your own cases. We encourage clinical freedom while providing plenty of support from experienced colleagues whenever it's needed. Our purpose-designed Henfield practice is exceptionally well equipped, including:
- Two operating theatres
- Laparoscopic and orthopaedic equipment
- Full IDEXX laboratory suite
- Digital radiography and dental X-ray
- Three-probe ultrasound scanner
- Modern anaesthetic monitoring including capnography and non-invasive blood pressure monitoring
