Hawthorn One are representing a Manufacturing business with a global presence, with a group turnover of over 50 million, with their UK finance team based at their UK Manufacturing site between Accrington and Burnley. They have multiple entities that manufacture a range of technical manufactured products to a diverse market. After a team restructure, with lots of internal change with processes and group structure, they\’re looking for an Finance Business Partner to join their team of 6.
This job is newly created following a resignation of the Assistant Management Accountant. The FD has redistributed duties throughout the team, to allow for a designated Finance Business Partner to work closely with production and the wider business to improve performance and profitability.
The Finance Business Partner Job
This Finance Business Partner job will work closely with the wider business, specifically production of the UK entities, providing analysis and financial insights to drive financial decision making to help improve business performance, efficiency and profitability. You will also be involved in leading from a finance perspective for various projects for the wider group.
- It is essential you have manufacturing experience, specifically with costings and understanding of BOM’s, at management accountant level as a minimum.
- You must be strong with excel and be able to manipulate and analyse data effectively to provide commercial insights to support decision making.
- You will have a management accounting or business partnering background within manufacturing, able to review, understand and provide commentary to a P&L.
- You will be qualified, working towards, or qualified by experience.
- Person fit is extremely important, you must be able to communicate effectively, have a friendly personality and hard-working attitude.
- You will be open to supporting the wider team with duties outside of your job description to meet deadlines and have a pro-active attitude to your work.
If you are actively studying CIMA or ACCA or would like a training contract to become fully qualified, study will be fully supported.
You will also be granted the opportunity to develop your own experience by taking on additional responsibility and ownership of other areas of the accounts. Due to the ongoing change throughout the group, there is also various senior level project work which you may be exposed to working alongside the Group FD.
Benefits – Bupa, Medicash, 26 days holiday, 5% employer pension scheme. 35-37.5 hour working week.
Salary will be depending on experience, but ideally between ÂŁ50,000 and ÂŁ55,000.
