We are working on an exciting opportunity for a Management Accountant to join an international company specializing in ethical travel and volunteer programmes for young adults wishing to visit Asia, South America, and Africa. This role is ideal for someone looking to step away from the norm and work in a vibrant, progressive, and high-energy environment.

In this fast-paced role, you will be responsible for producing the monthly management accounts for the company's global operations. You will also assist with budgets, forecasts, and reports for external stakeholders. Candidates should ideally be fully qualified (ACA/CIMA or ACCA), but applications from part-qualified candidates will also be considered. We will also consider applications from candidates seeking part-time hours (minimum of 22.5 hours per week). Hybrid working arrangements are available.

Job Role and Responsibilities

  • Produce monthly management accounts for global operations based in the UK, Americas, Africa, and Asia.
  • Review and manage multi-currency cash flows and prepare cash flow forecasts.
  • Assist with month-end processes including accruals, prepayments, bank reconciliations, depreciation of fixed assets, and deferred revenue.
  • Support system and process improvement projects.
  • Collaborate with MDs across multiple entities to explain budgets and update forecasts.

Skills and Experience Needed

  • Part-qualified or fully qualified (ACA/ACCA/CIMA).
  • Proactive approach and confident communication skills.
  • Experience in multi-currency and multi-entity environments is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong IT skills, with experience in Xero, Access Dimensions, or FileMaker being advantageous.
  • Advanced Excel skills for complex reporting.
