Hawkwood is thrilled to partner with a leading quantitative hedge fund, currently seeking an agency recruiter to transition in-house.

This firm operates at the forefront of quantitative trading and is committed to attracting top-tier talent in mathematics, physics, machine learning, and NLP.

They're looking for someone skilled in building relationships with top academic institutions and identifying exceptional industry talent to help them maintain their competitive edge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage interview logistics across multiple hiring processes, delivering a seamless, white-glove recruitment experience for candidates from initial scheduling through to completion.
  • Build strong relationships with candidates and internal stakeholders, coordinating interviews and resolving scheduling conflicts as they arise.
  • Keep recruitment systems and candidate information accurate, organised and up to date.
  • Provide a high standard of communication and support to candidates throughout the hiring process.
  • Assist with the delivery of early careers and campus recruitment initiatives, including engagement with universities and student communities.
  • Attend careers events and other external recruitment activities to promote the organisation and attract talent.
  • Support projects that enhance recruitment processes, candidate experience and employer brand.
  • Work closely with the wider Talent team to ensure recruitment activity runs smoothly and efficiently.

What We're Looking For

  • Approximately 6 months to 2 years of recruitment experience, ideally in executive search, machine learning, or hiring top software engineers.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to build rapport and trust with candidates, creating a positive candidate experience from the first interaction.
  • Someone who's comfortable using data to make informed decisions, such as analyzing sourcing funnel metrics (e. g., response rates, conversion rates) to optimize efforts.
  • Proactive, adaptable and solutions-oriented.
  • Interest in campus recruitment and talent acquisition is advantageous.
