Hawkwood is partnering with a highly ambitious AI start-up to hire a Technical Talent Partner following an impressive Series B Fundraise. Backed by leading investors including Y Combinator and 20VC, our client has developed a category-defining AI platform and quickly established itself as one of the most high-growth businesses in the European AI ecosystem.

Founded by an exceptionally strong technical leadership team with deep expertise across AI, machine learning and software engineering, the business combines cutting-edge technology with a highly ambitious and execution-focused culture. This combination has translated into rapid commercial success, with the company reaching eight-figure ARR and securing more than $50m in funding across its Series A and Series B rounds.

With plans to more than double headcount over the coming year, the business is now making a significant investment in its talent function. Working closely with the Founding Talent Lead and senior leadership team, you'll take ownership of hiring across AI, Engineering, Product and Data, while helping to build the processes, candidate experience and talent infrastructure required to support the company's next phase of growth. This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of Europe's most exciting AI businesses at a genuinely pivotal stage of growth.

What you'll do:

  • Own end-to-end recruitment across multiple technical functions and levels of seniority
  • Partner closely with hiring managers and senior leaders to understand their needs, define hiring strategies and deliver against ambitious growth plans
  • Lead sourcing activity using LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean search and other modern sourcing techniques including Jack & Jill
  • Build and manage high-quality pipelines of passive technical talent across the UK and Europe
  • Manage high-touch interview processes from initial outreach through to offer acceptance
  • Build strong relationships with candidates and deliver an exceptional experience throughout the hiring journey
  • Use hiring data and market insights to inform decision-making and advise stakeholders
  • Identify potential hiring challenges early and proactively develop solutions
  • Contribute to the continued development of talent processes, tooling and infrastructure as the business scales

What you'll bring:

  • 4+ years in talent acquisition (minimum)
  • Direct experience hiring Frontend, Backend, Full-stack, and AI Engineers
  • Most recent experience in one of the following: been in-house TA at an early-stage, ideally VC-backed startup operating with minimal support, or embedded talent work for a firm serving early-stage startups, with demonstrated success
  • Experience using (and preferably optimising) Ashby
  • Hands-on sourcing, able to build a pipeline from scratch rather than relying on inbound
  • Fluency with newer AI sourcing tools - not just LinkedIn Recruiter
  • Strong written communication, outreach and candidate updates should be good enough to stand as examples
  • Demonstrated ability to close candidates against competing offers
  • Happy to pick up new roles, understand requirements quickly and build processes from scratch

If you are interested in this opportunity, we kindly ask that you apply directly via this LinkedIn advert rather than email or LinkedIn message. This helps us ensure every candidate receives a fair, consistent, and structured experience throughout the process.
