Hawkwood are partnering with one of the world’s most successful hedge funds to hire a Campus (Tech) Pipeline Manager. This is a high-impact role focused on building and owning one of the most competitive early talent pipelines in Europe.
You will sit at the intersection of academia and industry, developing deep partnerships with leading institutions such as Oxbridge, ETH Zurich, École Polytechnique, ENS, HEC, and CentraleSupélec. The mandate is simple but demanding: ensure the firm consistently identifies, engages, and converts the very best emerging talent in Maths, Physics, and Computer Science.
This is not a traditional campus role. It combines strategic pipeline design with hands-on execution, and requires someone who is as comfortable analysing funnel data as they are building relationships with world-class technical talent. You will also have the opportunity to attend some of the top international conferences and academic events in the world.
What you will be doing:
- Own and execute the EMEA campus pipeline strategy for technical talent
- Build long-term relationships with professors, research labs, and academic leaders
- Partner closely with senior engineering and research stakeholders to align hiring demand with pipeline activity
- Design and deliver structured hiring programmes, including internships, super days, and conversion strategies
- Track pipeline health, analyse funnel performance, and forecast hiring outcomes
- Identify talent gaps, competitor activity, and emerging trends across the academic landscape
- Represent the firm externally at conferences and key academic engagements
What they are looking for:
- 6+ years’ experience in early-careers recruiting, talent strategy, or pipeline management
- Experience hiring into high-performance environments such as technology, quantitative finance, or frontier AI labs.
- Strong understanding of academic ecosystems, including research output and conferences
- Experience building and running structured programmes (internships, graduate hiring)
- Highly organised, execution-focused, and commercially aware
- Strong analytical capability across pipeline metrics and hiring data
- Credibility to engage senior academics and internal leadership alike
This role offers significant exposure to senior stakeholders internally, and a genuine opportunity to shape how one of the most successful firms in the world competes for talent.
