Hawkwood are partnering with a high-growth, product-led technology business that has firmly established itself as a market leader within its space. Unlike many scaling companies, this organisation combines growth with strong financial fundamentals, operating as a profitable business with a clear path for continued expansion. This balance of scale, stability and ambition creates a rare environment: high growth without the start-up fragility.
With thousands of customers across the UK and Europe, a widely adopted product, and a strong brand presence, the business is now doubling down on investment across Product, Technology and Data - functions that sit at the core of its future strategy, driving innovation, customer experience and long-term competitive advantage.
About the role:
As part of this continued growth, we are looking to make a critical leadership hire within the Talent function. Reporting to the Head of Talent and managing a team of 10, this role will take full ownership of hiring across Product, Technology and Data. This role is far more than just bums on seats; it is an opportunity to shape the long-term hiring vision for technical functions while solving complex hiring challenges that directly impact the ability to drive the business forward.
What you will do:
- Own and drive the end-to-end hiring strategy across Product, Tech and Data functions.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing squad of TA partners, providing them with the support and resources to succeed.
- Build strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders, operating as a strategic advisor on talent.
- Partner with senior leadership to forecast hiring needs and translate business priorities into clear, executable hiring plans.
- Provide crucial market insights to navigate current and future talent challenges and opportunities.
- Directly, and through your team, build and nurture diverse talent pipelines for critical roles.
- Establish clear performance metrics, using data to track, optimise and communicate hiring effectiveness.
- Contribute to the broader Talent Acquisition strategy and leadership agenda.
About you:
- Deep expertise and a proven track record in technical talent acquisition.
- Experience leading, inspiring and developing high-performing recruitment teams (3+ direct reports).
- A pragmatic and commercial mindset, focused on solving business problems through strategic hiring.
- Highly data-driven, using insights to inform decisions and continuously improve processes.
- Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with a history of building trust and influencing senior leaders.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity, with a proactive and solutions-focused approach.
- High ownership mentality, with a focus on long-term impact over short-term delivery.
