Hawkwood is excited to be partnering with a rapidly scaling FinTech business, headquartered in London, that is on a mission to transform global payments within the finance industry. Following their recent close of nearly $10 million in Series C funding, they are entering a new phase of growth, expanding operations from the UK and Europe into the US. With this, they are now looking to hire a new Learning & Development Manager to shape and deliver a best-in-class learning experience for all employees.
This is a brilliant opportunity to build out the L&D function, working closely with senior leadership to identify training needs, support internal mobility, and drive high performance across global teams.
What will you be doing in this role?
- Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of scalable learning programmes aligned to business goals.
- Collaborate with Heads of Department and the VP of People to identify training needs and shape the L&D strategy.
- Develop engaging learning content and manage relationships with external providers.
- Own the onboarding experience, ensuring new joiners are set up for success from day one.
- Launch learning paths and succession plans linked to the career framework to boost internal mobility.
- Foster a coaching culture through both formal programmes and informal initiatives.
- Manage the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring content is current, accessible, and impactful.
- Define and track KPIs to evaluate programme effectiveness and drive continuous improvement.
What will you need to be successful?
- Proven experience in a learning and development role, ideally within FinTech, scaling tech, or Financial Services (FCA regulatory experience would be a bonus).
- A strategic and hands-on approach, comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- Confidence in designing, delivering, and measuring a wide range of learning initiatives.
- Strong relationship building skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders and external partners.
- Passion for people development, continuous improvement, and building a high-performance culture.
