A huge Fund Management organisation are looking for an experienced Solution Architect on a Permanent basis. The successful candidate will work in London 1 – 2 days per week, with a very attractive base salary and a package that includes 10% employer pension contribution, private medical, life assurance, etc.
The Position
The position sits in the Investment Technology Services / Platforms. This is a Technical Leadership role where you will have responsibility for developing solution architecture and high-level designs for investment-focused technology solutions. You will work closely with the dedicated teams to develop, test and release those solutions globally while ensuring they align to the Funds technology standards.
Required skills and experience
- In-depth experience in the Financial Services/Wealth Management industry.
- Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or Systems engineering.
- TOGAF certification or equivalent IT architectural qualification (Preferred).
- 10+ years working history in technology design or engineering.
- 5+ years’ experience in solution architecture and design.
- Advanced practical knowledge of application & infrastructure best practices and standards.
- Financial Services experience / Regulatory environments.
- Exposure to at least one portfolio management system (e.g. Blackrock Aladdin, S&P iLevel, Nasdaq Calypso), execution management systems (e.g. Bloomberg EMS, FXALL, TradeWeb) and Investment data management solutions (Finbourne, GoldenSource, Eagle).
- Good understanding of Investment data, modern data warehousing concepts and big data platforms.
- Good understanding of cloud computing concepts (preferably Azure).
