Hawksworth UK are partnering with a prestigious European Investment Bank to hire a Director-level Senior Tax Manager for their London headquarters. This is a high-impact role offering broad exposure across corporate and international tax, with a strong focus on transactional support and transfer pricing within a complex financial services environment.
The Opportunity
You will act as a key advisor to the business, working closely with senior stakeholders across Front Office, Legal, and Compliance. This role offers significant visibility and the opportunity to contribute to strategic tax planning in a leading banking institution.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide corporate tax advisory support on transactions and business initiatives
- Lead on international tax matters, particularly transfer pricing
- Interpret and apply double tax treaties, BEPS, Pillar II, and AEOI frameworks
- Support and review Bank Levy calculations
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders to translate complex tax issues into clear, actionable insights
- Contribute to tax risk management and governance
Required Experience
- CTA and/or ACA qualified
- Extensive UK corporate tax experience within a banking environment
- Strong understanding of financial products and their tax implications
- Proven experience in international tax and transfer pricing
- Background in a major accounting firm and/or in-house banking tax function
- Working knowledge of IFRS
- Exposure to Bank Levy (highly desirable)
- VAT knowledge (beneficial, not essential)
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage non-tax stakeholders
