Direct reports: 4 (more likely checking their holidays etc., rather than checking their work, as they are experienced EAs.)
Our client is a global insurer. They have acquired another business and as part of your role, you will be key to helping consolidate the two estates/networks, trying to bring them both together as seamlessly as possible.
Their cloud environment is split down the middle, using both AWS and Azure. It is not essential that you have experience working for an insurer but having Financial Services experience is a must have.
You will be setting architectural strategy, defining technical standards, and working closely with security, cloud, network, and engineering leaders to ensure scalable, secure, and compliant solutions. You will define and champion group architectural principles, reference architectures, and standards across the organisation, as well as leading architectural reviews for major initiatives and transformation programmes.
- Experience as a Senior EA in an Enterprise and Regulated environment
- Bias toward infrastructure and platform services
- Enterprise networking; Network and transport protocols; Network Security
- AWS and Azure architecture
- SaaS architecture, integration patterns, and governance
- VMware, cloud-native compute, containers where relevant
- Database technologies and architectural patterns
Regarding days in the office, it will be 1-2 days per week and occasional team meet-ups as the team is split across 3 locations.
