- Deputy Head of Finance – 5 to 10 years industry experience
- Basic salary £85k -£94k + Package
- Working for a small group inside the bank (30 people)
- Hybrid working – x3 days onsite in central London x2 days remote per week
Job summary:
The Deputy Head of Finance has a primary responsibility to coordinate and functionally supervise the preparation of the Branch’s accounting, internal and external financial reporting and analysis (e.g. liquidity reporting), regulatory reporting (UK/FR/EU) and adherence to control framework and associated reporting; Covers for the Head of Finance when absent.
Tax-related subjects:
- Monitors and follow VAT calculation and payments
- Assists with Corporation Tax/Banking Surcharge preparation
- Assists with ad-hoc queries/calculation (e.g. Bank Levy, CATA)
Project work:
- Functional specifications to enhance/improve processes
- Assists with tests and homologation processes
- Participates to transversal and/or HO projects
- Assists with ad hoc requests relating to IT/projects for the Branch
Required skills/experience:
- 5 -10 years Finance Industry experience
- Experience working for a European Bank
- Good knowledge of Accounting / Financial control / Financial reporting
- Ability or experience to deputise for the Head of Finance on times of absence
- Degree educated or equivalent in a relevant subject area
- English – fluent
- French – Desirable
