Hawksworth are now recruiting for a Permanent Cloud Engineer for a Financial Services company that specialize in Wealth, Insurance and Pensions. The opportunity is Hybrid with a minimum of 1 day a week in the office and offering (depending on level) £56,000 – £84,000 (£84k being a Senior Lead role). The package can include a 10-15% bonus, 21% pension with 6% employee contribution, 26 days holiday plus bank holidays, and more. Location: Bristol preferred, but London also considered.

The Job:

We are looking for an experienced engineer with strong Cloud and devOps skills to join fast paced, expanding team. You will be working at every stage of product lifecycle deployment, from conception, design, implementation, testing and through to operational support. Automation is very important so you should have strong understanding of CI/CD tools, and IaC like Bicep. They use Azure Cloud so you should have strong Azure skills if you wish to apply.

Required skills & experience:

• Experience in cloud infrastructure engineering at larger enterprises

• Strong understanding of Azure and related services

• Experience with BiCep or other IaC deployments, with experience providing IaC as a service to developer teams.

• Strong understand of Ci/CD Pipeline tools such as Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions (or similar)

• Strong scripting skills in PowerShell and/or Python

• Knowledge of containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

• Strong communication and collaboration skills

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

• Microsoft Azure certifications are a plus.
