Hawksworth are now recruiting for a European Investment Bank who are looking to hire an Operation Analyst (Back-Office) on a 12-month Inside IR35 Contract basis. London based (city) and hybrid working, x3 days a week in the office. Rate for this role can vary depending on skill & experience level. The rate is between £300 and £425 per day to the Umbrella company (Inside IR35).
The job:
- The Operation team is responsible for all Back Office processes and controls.
- You will monitor the transactions, process the different events during the trade lifecycle, and liaise with the different counterparties for settlement issues.
- You will also be responsible for maintaining the adequate operational procedures.
- Processing of deal tickets, confirmations and associated payments.
- Daily short-term funding requirement management.
- Reconciliations of the banks nostro accounts.
- Reconciliation Back-Office vs accounting regarding P&L calculations.
- Ad-hoc reporting (EMIR/MIFID/ FID).
- Perform level 1 controls aiming at securing the process from an operation point of view.
Required skills and experience:
- Knowledge of capital market operations from a back-office perspective (loans and deposits, bonds, CDs, Hedging derivative transactions: IRS, CIRS, FX).
- Proven experience as a Back-Office Operations Analyst in an Investment Bank (or similar).
- Capital Market Product knowledge.
- Educated to degree level.
- MS Office skills (including good Excel skills).
- Experience with Access database.
- Good organisation / communication and interpersonal skills.
